48 Hours In Castle Pines Village

Hot Town Summer In the City...are you looking for a way to beat the heat? Take a short twenty minute drive from 5280 south towards Castle Pines Village where it is 6280, we are talking a whole new altitude for the attitude. Castle Pines Village is the planned community south of Denver and north of Castle Rock built on approximately 2800 acres of a Ponderosa Pines forest with two signature Jack Nicklaus 18 hole golf courses. If you drive down on Friday, you can arrive in time to stop by Tony's Meat Market in the village shopping center, load a basket with gourmet delicacies and head up to Daniel's Park for an al fresco picnic while wishing upon one of the million stars that will light up the sky. If you see that shooting star, make a quick wish that you will find the perfect place to settle (as in a home in the village). Saturday morning brings a delightful round of golf; in addition to the Country Club at Castle Pines and the Golf Club of Castle Pines, the Ridge at Castle Pines is a daily use course that ranks amongst the best in Colorado according to Avid Golfer and Golf Digest. During the famed International Golf tourney, many a pro player was sited at Bud's Bar in nearby Sedalia Colorado. Bud's Bar is a 50's styled biker bar complete with juke box and a menu of 4 items, hamburger, cheeseburger, dbl burger, dbl cheeseburger...do not ask for fries and be prepared to wait for a table behind golf foursomes, polo players, anglers and bikers...tour de Sedalia and Harleys. If you plan a weekend around the Douglas Country Fair, be prepared for the parade down main street Castle Rock, a rodeo and country western concert and carnival. Don't forget to grab an old fashioned shake at the B & B Cafe, either right before the Shriner's miniature car show or after the Douglas County High marching band. Wrap up your Saturday with a hike up around Decker's and drop a rod or head back to the village for a dip in one of the community outdoor swimming pools. A quick lounge chair nap in the park like setting and you are ready for dinner! Castle Pines Village is home to two member clubs, with the ultimate in dining experiences and wide wine lists, but the surrounding Village shopping area, Castle Pines North, and Castle Rock offer unique dining experiences from country to European. Sunday arrives with many opportunities for relaxing or shopping....as in homes! You can't leave without stepping a toe into one of the homes available for sale in Castle Pines Village. The architectural design review committee has worked with developers, builders and homeowners to assure that the beauty of the area would be preserved through its architecture.
