Denver Tourists

Caravaggio, Bellini, Titian and other artists of the Renaissance arrived in Denver early January and plan on visiting through mid  February.  They are staying at the Denver Art Museum during their visit, housed in a lovely gallery with exceptional background color, lighting and photographic murals of their native city, Venice.  Under the direction of curator Angelica Daneo, the Denver Art Museum has extroadinary art that rarely leaves Venice and difficult to view while in Venice.  Denver art patrons, visitors and residents have the opportunity of a lifetime to closely view paintings that changed the world.

Having returned recently from France and Italy, it is rare that you can experience limited crowds in art museums that house exceptional paintings and artists.  Touring the Louvre, the Gheary and the Pompidou in Paris and then on to the Galleria Nazionale in Perugia, the Museo de Signorelli in Cortona and all the incredible art in the cathedrals, rarely can you see a painting within inches of where it is hung.  Denver has managed to accomplish this exhibit with all the respect and care that the Italian curators appreciate.

Unless you plan on sipping a Belinni on the Grand Canal soon, do not miss the chance to see this exquisite opportunity, the paintings return to Venice soon.
