The Mom Cave

Men have longed for a place in the home that is singularly the "male domain" or "man cave". But what about the woman's room? Some would say that the entire house is the Mom Cave, but eventhough Mom generally maintains and manages the entire home, she still needs a room of her own. Some of the necessities of making a Mom Cave are the special accessories that would be particular to a woman. For instance, chandeliers add that essence to a room with light play and healing powers. Crystals have long been reknowned in drawing energy, so a beautiful crystal chandelier is a priority for the Mom Cave. Comfortable seating, be it shabby chic couches or a round or square table with upholstered chairs, Mom's love comfort. Cozy up to a burning fire's glow with a great book on a chaise or love-seat and you have the perfect Mom Cave atmosphere...even your children will tip toe around the space. A spectacular painting or sculpture, some whimsical table stones or shells, soft electrical lighting, and candles. The perfect Mom's Cave should bring out the ingenue and trigger the romance memories. Even if you can only devote ten minutes a day to the Mom Cave, do it. Mom Caves can be created in the smallest rooms, even a closet. Women spend a great deal of time in their closets, so add a pretty chandelier and a few scents and voila, you have the cave.
