We would like to thank the Academy!

Award season has started early and the Best Production of the Year goes to the 2012 Colorado Homes and Lifestyles home of the year...31 Albion Place, in Castle Pines Village! The August issue of the premier home and garden magazine in Colorado hit the newstands, the front cover shows the incredible interior of an incredible home with 12 pages of color photos. Sophistication, scale and presence in harmony with the beauty of the cultivated gardens were created with respect for the landscape that is Castle Pines Village and the owner's elevated vision. The collaboration of Architects, Chris Brown of Boss Architecture in Denver and Sarah Brown of Semple Brown in Denver, Martin Mosko of Marpa Landscape Design Studio of Boulder and Richard Lee, Interior Designer in New York, New York created the stunning design. The operative design word is "ambient" allowing the architecture to respect the landscape incorporating elements of sustainability through a natural use of materials and a modern aesthetic. The design is site specific, with a dynamic arrival sequence which includes a unique entry into and through the house creating a strong dialogue between the interior and exterior spaces of the home. The house is composed in zones, for both private and public functionality. Hopes high end residential doors and windows, 9 to 11 feet, maximize the vibrancy of each space. Exterior courtyards, patios and decks both covered and uncovered maximize the enjoyment of the spectacular gardens, complete with a meditative Tea House and koi ponds. The interior of the home includes a palate of hand brushed level 5 walls, textured stone floors, hardwood flooring, horizontal shiplap cvg oak walls and integrally colored, board formed concrete walls. The interior designer incorporated elements of 17th century fireplace mantles to the modern textures and angles. In a word or words, this home is "jaw dropping"! The Marpa landscaping includes reflecting pools, the ceremonial tea house, waterfalls, ponds, organically placed boulders and an abundance of perennial and annual plantings. This is zen!
