Going Green

Well, Kermit, indeed it is easy being green...just ask any Kentwood City Broker! Kentwood City Properties is proud to be a promoter of Denver's B-Cycle Program. The B-Cycle program began during the Democratic National Convention and was so well received that Denver Bike Sharing installed B-Stations throughout the city. There are stations from downtown Denver to multiple neighborhoods. For a nominal fee, a rider can check a bicycle out at any number of stations with one swipe of a credit card, a membersip makes it ever so easy and breezy with the B-Cycle card that can be secured off their website. The Bike Rental Charges are $0.00 for the first half hour, $1.00 for the second half hour and $4.00 for each half hour after that. You have the ability to check the bike out at one B-Station and return it to another, if it is within the half hour you are not charged. If you check the bike out at a Cherry Creek North B-Station and drop the bike off at Riverfront, a 30 minute bike ride, you will not be charged. When you are ready to ride back or to another location, you check out a new bike and will not be charged if it is under 30 minutes. Your ride route from station to station is an encouraged practice, and very economic. You will be greening Denver without spending the green. This is also the perfect travel option to a sporting or cultural event, farmer's markets and any of the many Rockies games. The B-Cycle Stations are effortless, the red bikes are equipped with baskets and locks, helmets are strongly encouraged. An easy way to get started with B-Cycle is to tour Denver's neighborhood with one of the high energy brokers at Kentwood City Properties. You will be able to see Denver Landmarks, learn the history of the neighborhoods, tour a few available properties and get educated on the market from the neighborhood specialists. It is a fun, informative, sustainable and healthy way to see Denver real estate. The tours will be held from April through October, generally on a Sunday and will cover neighborhoods such as LoDo/Riverfront, the Highlands, Curtis Park, Park Hill, Stapleton, Congress Park, Cherry Creek, Denver Country Club, Washington Park and Platte Park. Promoting Denver is one of my passions, I will be hosting two tours, my childhood neighborhood Park Hill and Cherry Creek North where I currently live. My National Association of Realtor's Green Designation is also another passion so I look forward to being a part of a city wide effort to go green with the B-Cycle program. Look for our advertisements and schedule of bike tours so you can get out and have some fun! posted: March 17, 2011 - Judy's Denver - Blog
